Imagine a newly bought RM4K gamer's laptop, ASUS,

It's not working!!

The screen goes blank and the screen will only appear by luck..

Urghh...

It's still under warranty,

But...

The ASUS centre is only available in Kuching(12hours roadtrip)

And in KL(by flight).

Damn it!

I can actually call for the pick up and fix service by the centre,

But,

The office MIGHT call me anytime to sail!!

The dilemma...

It might take days to send it for fixing...

Then, I might sail off without my lappy...

Grrrr.....

Can't even play games>>SKYRIM!!!! I truly missed you...

After sooo long, it was somehow forgotten like the said friendship~

No matter what i say to defend myself, it will just be a pile of excuses...

I sailed officially as an officer,
Means more experience gained.
But...learning is a neverending process, agreed?
That's what my previous Captain said.

This year, aged 24(by the end of the year)
I'm planning big.

1) Buy a house.
Seriously, i'm planning to buy a house,
At least 1.
I already discussed it with my parents,
And will definitely buy a house here, Bintulu as a starter.
If im lucky enough,
Maybe another 1 in Kuching!

I grew up there, so, makes sense,right?

2) Get a FREAKING driver's license!
Shut up!
I still don't have my driver's license,owkay!!
Was too busy with my ship's license and sail all over the place!!
Bwahahaha~
Only now i feel the insecurity and caged without the license...
Trapped here, isolated from the world outside~
Haih...

3) Buy a car...optional, i guess..
Well, it would feel better to have my own car, right?
Then my parents won't be nagging me about the transportation issue~

4) Financial management.
This, my friend, is an important one to achieve!
Been suffering financial problem..well, my own financial, of course, not to depend on my Parents!
Note to self: Credit card is for emergency purposes only!
NEVER increase the credit limitation.

5) Needs VS Guts
Being impulsive as i am, it's highly NOT recommended for me to enter any shops with gadgets This year.
Urmm.... Last year, i think i spent not less than 5k on gadgets alone.
And i even left my wireless speaker on the ship!! due to fear of luggage overweight..
Curse you Jebel Ali, why were there so many gadgets that i bought but don't need!!
Well, at least my dad loves the tablet that i bought!
:)
So, this year, avoid shops selling phones, gadgets, computer accessories, consoles.

6) Self improvement.
It's kind of sad to look back on how i physically changed after my cadetship.
I admit that im extremely overweight at the moment, (just to give myself the slap on the face)
I should be more consious on what i consume and be more involved in physical activity.

7) Talent?
I shouldn't let any of it go to waste, right?
Just another self to self note:
Learn to play guitar PROPERLY, Improve on the harmonica, Increase more technical skills Playing with my Zippo, Be LESS sensitive on unrelated issues....

8) Perfect Haired, Irresistable Lips, Ooooo~ <3
You're my ultimate goal,
God will lead me in His own way...
It really DOES hurt when you fall again, huh?

9) MAYBE join the choir after returning from my next ship.
Actually i just love the feeling that i get from singing songs that praises the Lord~
Deep inside, i just want to join the group,
But... too much drama there,eh?

10) Next vacation!
Am planning to get all my siblings and parents their passports,
4 x rm300,means rm1200 alone for passports,
Then,
Just bring my family go for vacations outside Malaysia!!
Brunei, Indonesia, Singapore, Australia~
Well, this is not fixed for 2012 though,
But still, worth putting on the list!!

11) Get to the hot page on 9GAG!!!

Olaaa~
it's been awhile that i've updated my so-called-blog~

My last shipboard service was onboard MV Bunga Terasek~

it was hellishly HECTIC!
trust me, it's more like a torture there!!

MV Bunga Terasek was basically a feeder vessel in Persian Gulf~
Three main ports:

Jebel Ali,United Arab Emirates;
Bushehr, Iran;
Shuweikh,Kuwait

I sailed on the vessel around April,2011 till October,2011~
in that period, I've never seen a single drop of rain!!!
and i was there during the peak temperature, with NO air conditioning!!
Grrrrr!!!!

There was this one time,
it was in Bushehr,
i was at the gangway and out of nowhere,

there's this group of people just jumped out of the truck and pulled out a sheep from the back~
and they just took the knife and beheaded the sheep!
YES,on the road!

my first ship serving as an officer~
(4th Officer that is~)
With Capt Rajdev Singh and Mr Ashley Pandita as the Captain and Chief Officer~
wow~
it was the WORST 2 weeks of my life~
the first time i felt like quitting something soooo badly!
like what they always say,
if you don't have anything nice to say about that person,
you better say nothing at all~
sooo...
i'll just zip it~
;)

Serving with Captain Alexis Isaak was a great experience~
he teach people so that they can be used and dependable~
from there, i've learned a lot from him!!
and i've actually made a functioning "journal" which consists of materials that actually helps~
:D

i was then pushed and forced by him to do my interview onboard~
as i was "capable" as per his remarks~
:P
the first three months due,
and so is the deadline for my onboard interview~
i was so nervous and unprepared for it!!
Early that morning,
while i was on watch,
i flipped through MOST of the publications and do all the last minute preparations!
wow,
felt more nervous than taking my oral exam!
that morning,
all went well~
and my cadets>>Matthew,Hazwan and Amir was grinning all over and felt the thrill too!!

on that day onwards,
i was serving as 3rd Officer and did the SOLO watch for 4-8 shift!

but then~
the office did not give any feedbacks and the followups by Captain Rajdev was ignored by the office~
a very VERY disappointing action by the office...
until today,
the status is still NOT yet updated~

FLYING!!

i think i've been on a plane more that i am in my father's car!!
i just came back from KL yesterday,
using our very own MAS Airlines.

yup, i said i've been on the plane lots of times till i lost count,
but what's so special about this one??

the air stewardess was gorgeous!!
(well, seriously, pretty air stewardess for MAS is a rare sight)
ooppss, that's not the case..
i was seated at the window seat, 18A to be exact.
and this sexy lady, was sitting on the other side, 18 D.

DON'T GET ME WRONG!
I WAS NOT STALKING!
hear me out 1st!!

i have this bad habit of sleeping in the seat even before the air steward or stewardess shows the safety demonstration (which i know that i can do with my eyes closed).
after half an hour flying,
i stretched and she caught my attention,
she was just sitting there reading CLEO (i guess),

and the moment she flip the page,
a few pieces of lottery ticket was between the pages!!

hahahaha....
i know, i know,
there's nothing wrong with buying lottery tickets,(well, who doesn't want to get rich FAST?)
but the look on her face was PRICELESS!!!

hmmm....
will be flying back to KL again this saturday...

i mean LITERALLY, the firecrackers burst right beside me and gave me a temporary deafness while i was on the phone with my Kuching friends!!

My 1st ship...
M.T. Bunga Melati Dua

M.V. Bunga Bidara
Type: Container Carrier
Length: 176.80m
Breadth: 27.3m

My 3rd ship...
M.V. Bunga Seroja Dua

it's the infamous incident that happened the other day..

the ship which was hijacked by the Somalian pirates!!
but God was good to me...
i already disembarked the ship when it was hijacked...
(Thank God!! Amen!!)

This ship is basically the 1st ship that i went onboard..
it really shocked me when the ship that big is actually run by THIRTY plus people!!!
This ship carries Dangerous Chemicals and Palm Oils...
mmmm...
I was under the observation of two different captains..
the first captain was Capt. Anten Bosco Almeida then he was relieved by Capt. Amser Yusuf Daud...
The route of this ship is Far east and Europe..
so...
the places that i've went onboard this ship was----
Malaysia, Singapore, China, Taiwan, South Korea, (then coming back to Malaysia), passing Suez, Rotterdam, U.K., France...(i think that's all)

And....
my second ship is
M.V. Bunga Bidara.

(M.V. stands for Motor Vessel)

there's nothing special about this ship...
except that 80% of the personnel onboard was Phillipinos!!!

the manning was handled by the Parola(means lighthouse*if I'm not mistaken) from the Philippines...
i took this chance to learn a little bit of Tagalog~
and sad to say, when you are trying to learn a new language, it is always the bad words that are being taught first!!
hahaha~
This ship carries containers of various cargoes...
I was under the observation of two different captains here also..
the first captain was Capt. Bayani Acquino Belale then he was relieved by Capt. Mustaffar Bin Maarof...
The route of this ship is Far east and India..
Malaysia, Singapore, China, (back to Malaysia), India(Visakhapatnam and Chennai)

And my third ship...
M.V. Bunga Seroja Dua..
This ship was on anchorage when i went onboard..

the reason for the third ship was just to complete my seatime..
The ship doesn't actually move...
due to the world economy breakdown....
hmm...
onboard this ship,
i was under the observation of Capt Mohamad Mohaidin Bin Abdul Ghani..
The route was supposed to be Malaysia, China, Taiwan, U.S.A, Canada...(om not sure about the route...)
but when i was on this ship, she was only anchoring at Hongkong..

i think that is all about my training ship...
and i really enjoyed when i was on these ships...
looking forward to join onboard again to see different parts of the world!!!

Diploma in Nautical Studies, Diploma in Marine Engineering...
Graduation day..........
102nd Convocation Ceremony.
The benchmark of all dates which signifies the end of the torturing cadet times~
After three years of sugars, spice and everything nice,
it is finally here!
19th October, all the graduating cadets will be practicing for the convocation which includes rehearsals and marching~

Also known as astronavigation, is a position fixing (dead reckoning) to enable them to strike land. Celestial navigation uses angular measurements (sights) between common celestial objects or to the horizon. The Sun and the horizon are most often measured. Skilled navigators can use the Moon, planets or one of 57 navigational stars (nautical almanacs) technique that was devised to help sailors cross the featureless oceans without having to rely on whose coordinates are tabulated in

Celestial navigation is the process whereby angles between objects in the sky (celestial objects) and the horizon are used to locate one's position on the globe. At any given instant of time, any celestial object (e.g. the Moon, Jupiter, navigational star Spica) will be located directly over a particular geographic position on the Earth. This geographic position is known as the celestial object’s subpoint, and its location (e.g. its latitude and longitude) can be determined by referring to tables in a nautical or air almanac.

tick, tick, tick...
It was a very cold day as it didn't stop raining~
even if it did, maybe I've stolen some of mother nature's tears for myself~
the weather is perfect for a laid back guy like me~
i don't really like a bright and sunny day..
rain, or cloudy days, or night is my favorite time~

enjoyed my free time by reading online manga (onemanga),
catching up with the animes that i missed out the other day~
bleach, naruto, history's strongest disciple: kenichi~
then i fell asleep on my bed~

cabin 103: me, Iqbal, Thomas and Gethro~
only the four of us occupies this room which serves 9 persons~
out of boredom,they pulled me out of my room,
asked me to join them to play some songs...
exactly after maghrib...we started playing random songs in front of our cabin...
Iqbal with the guitar, Gethro with the recorder and his wonderful voice, and myself with my loyal companion:my harmonica..Thomas just enjoys the show from the side~

we started playing all these random songs that i've never heard of~
but with everything i can, i tried to catch up~
hahhaa~
honestly speaking, i've never went for any professional music classes!!
and i dun even know any basics!!
i started to inhale and blow recklessly when Gethro said: let's try "D", Gene~
hahaha~
it was quite fun and feels great to join these talented guys~

i was quite depressed when i woke up in the morning..
related to a phone call around the midnight,
but nw am so uplifted by these guys!!

we were not alone~
the female juniors joined us,
they gathered and pulled chairs and sat at the ground floor while we played at the 1st floor...
u must be wondering why didn't they just come and join us in a group,

we didn't actually notice them until they started singing along and requesting songs~
hahaha~

we played a couple of songs till Iqbal's fingers started to hurt~

Mediterranean Hostel to be exact~

it is so quiet that i can hear my own heart beat....
is it just me or the silence is killing me softly...

as i gaze further into the moonlit sky~
the moon caught my attention..
and i started thinking..
people always say that the moon is beautiful~
but do they know?

how lonely she is~
being surrounded by the beautiful stars,
but they are not meant for her...
